During this unprecedented time, the people served by the PRC community are even more vulnerable. We are committed to our mission to respond to basic human needs and to create a future of hope and opportunity for the people of DuPage County. Now more than ever, PRC services are vital to meeting the needs of our neighbors.
PRC is closely monitoring all updates and CDC guidance about the coronavirus outbreak. Our goal is to follow all precautions based on the health department and CDC guidelines, and to equip our employees, volunteers and clients to help all who visit a PRC site to stay safe.
During this time, PRC is open only during our food pantry shifts to provide our DuPage neighbors with emergency food and financial assistance. At this time, PRC is providing on-site only, no-contact emergency food and financial assistance. Art, computer and literacy classes have begun to transition to virtual classes. Please check back for updated information, which will post as it becomes available.
Our hours are subject to change based on CDC and government recommendations, so please check our website for updates at (www.peoplesrc.org) or call our automated attendant (630-682-5402) for current hours.
PRC's Social Services Team has also put together a list of resources in the community that might be helpful during this time. You can access the list here.
The needs of our neighbors are still great, and we offer a big thank you to everyone who has supported our programs during this time.
Many of you have asked how you can help. PRC is accepting food and toiletry /paper products donations. However, monetary donations will be most helpful to aid us in our work with all of our services. Click Here to make a Gift.
