PRC Names New Executive Director

People’s Resource Center Names Jenifer Fabian as Executive Director

 WHEATON, IL (May 16, 2017) – People's Resource Center (PRC) has announced the appointment of Jenifer S. Fabian as Executive Director. For over 20 years, Jeni has dedicated her career in nonprofit leadership to improving services for low-income and disadvantaged communities. PRC serves nearly 30,000 residents of DuPage County each year by providing social services and educational programs to create paths to self-sufficiency.

National Digital Inclusion Alliance Week May 8-13

The National Digital Inclusion Alliance wants everyone to realize how important access to communication technology is in daily life. National Digital Inclusion Week, May 8-13, 2017, aims to spread the word about fair access to these essential services.  Computers and access to the internet are a critical part of modern life.

Contributors include students from our Writing Workshop and art created by art students and neighbors.

Summer Science


Free summer science workshops are offered with hands on activities and vocabulary/language enrichment for students who want to enrich what they already know about topics or start learning about a new topic.  Hands on activities will be done daily along with discussions about science concepts.

We employ certified, local teachers to teach the classes so that they are top-notch, hands-on learning experiences. The program is offered to students entering grades 1-8 in the fall.  The curriculum topics are as follows:

Low Cost Internet Access starting April 22

Beginning April 22, the Access program from AT&T will provide a low-cost option for home Internet access to low-income households. To be eligible, at least one person in the household must be a participant in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
